How do we test?
Instant drug testing is an exceptionally easy and reliable way to test employees and/or potential employees and get immediate results. We offer in-house, instant urine and saliva drug screening. With this technology, we are able to offer results within five minutes of when the sample was taken.
Additionally, we offer lab-based saliva, hair and buccal swab testing. These methods must be sent to the laboratory for the initial and confirmation screenings. The results are usually available in 3-5 business days.
We send all non-negatives to a SAMHSA-certified laboratory for confirmation and, at our client's request, these results may be additionally reviewed by a Medical Review Officer to further confirm the findings.
We have the ability to test for:
- Alcohol
- Amphetamines
- Barbiturates
- Benzodiazepines
- Cocaine
- Ecstasy (MDMA)
- Hydrocodone
- Hydromorphone
- Marijuana (THC)
- Methadone
- Methamphetamines
- Opiates (Codeine & Morphine)
- PCP
- Oxycodone
- Propoxyphene (Darvon)
- Ticyclic Antidepressants
Specific Methodologies
Urine testing This is the most practical and widely-used method of drug detection, as most drugs are detectable in the urine for 1–7 days. We have found that urine testing is best used for random and follow-up testing when the individual does not know they are going to be tested.
Saliva testing Saliva testing is a newer methodology and has a shorter window of detection than urine testing. It is most useful in post-accident and reasonable suspicion testing to determine recent drug use (1–2 days).
Hair testing Hair testing provides an extended view of long-term drug use. Normally, this type of testing can detect substances in the last three months, but not recent use. Hair testing is excellent for pre-employment.
Buccal swab testing This method is a quick, non-invasive scraping of the cheek cells. Then, the specimen is sent to the lab for testing. The results are generally back in 3 days.
